Executive Summary

The executive summary will be the last section you write. The summary should be short (one or two pages) and to the point. You may actually write several versions of the summary depending on who will be reading it. For example, if it will be read by a potential partner, it will have a different twist than if a commercial bank is looking at it. In any case, put yourself in the shoes of the reader and hit the main points they will be most interested in. Keep the exec summary concise and avoid getting into the fine details.

Specific areas to consider when writing the exec summary:

What (the purpose of the business and your objective)

How (basic strategy meeting those objectives)

Who (the talent that will get it going and keep it going)

How much (how much is needed, where will it come from and how it will be repaid)
